Clos Bellane, Côtes du Rhône Villages Valréas 2016
Tasted by Matt Walls(at En primeur tastings, Rhône, 09 Oct 2017)
The concentrated, inky palate features mouth coating fruit and fine tannins. There’s some lavender and black olive here among the blackberry fruits, bringing a Provençale note and a degree of complexity. Well balanced and with a ripe acidity, this is very well made, with noticeable but well-judged oak influence.
