2015 *****

(vat/casks) the robe is very dark, black at its centre. The nose involves ripe blackberry fruit with a lean towards liqueur, such is the ripeness and depth. The palate is full and robust, courses with a thick black cherry juice. The tannins give a little freshness, and fit around it pretty well. Mourvèdre influences are strong here (tasted blind, it turns out to be 23%), and bring a plunge of tight late depth. Really solid and striking wine, for the long-term, when it will become handsome. 15°. 4,000 b. €29 at the cellars. GB£32-35. Harvested 15 Sept 2015. From 2020. 2033-35 Sept 2016
